CONCEPT

This project originated from a request by a global firm to design a series of illustrated stickers as part of an internal initiative aimed at strengthening connection, belonging, and collaboration across international teams.

The main objective was to create a visual system that authentically represented different countries while avoiding surface-level stereotypes, resulting in a more thoughtful, contemporary, and culturally respectful approach.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

Each sticker was crafted as a unique piece, built around cultural symbols, flora, fauna, and artisanal patterns associated with each country. These elements were intentionally selected to move beyond literal representation and capture a deeper sense of cultural identity.

TYPOGRAPHY

Typography plays a supporting but essential role in this project. Country names were treated as bold typographic anchors within each composition, helping establish clear identification while maintaining balance with the illustrations. The type treatment was intentionally simple and legible to ensure that the stickers remain recognizable even at smaller sizes or when used across different materials.

Integrating each country's name directly into the illustration provided greater compositional flexibility and reinforced the individuality of each piece within the overall system.

COLOR PALETTE & VISUAL COHESION

The color system was based on the firm's core institutional palette, expanded with vibrant complementary tones. This approach allowed each country's visual identity to shine while maintaining a strong sense of cohesion across the full set.

The result is a diverse yet unified graphic system, where each sticker stands on its own while remaining part of a consistent visual language.

DESIGN INTENT

The design balances boldness and humanity, blending traditional references with a modern graphic sensibility. The goal was to create energizing, engaging pieces that felt authentic and emotionally resonant, reinforcing pride and connection across teams.

VISUAL HIERARCHY

A clear visual hierarchy was established by prioritizing the illustrated cultural elements while allowing the country name to function as a secondary focal point. The balance between iconography and typography ensures that the eye first captures the visual identity of the country and then quickly identifies the name.

LAYOUT DESIGN

Each sticker was designed using a modular layout structure that maintains visual consistency across the entire collection. The composition balances illustration, typography, and negative space to create designs that feel cohesive while allowing each country to retain its unique character.

IMPACT

The stickers became a visual centerpiece of the internal initiative, sparking excitement, participation, and a strong sense of cultural pride among team members. Used in meetings, office visits, and internal activities, they acted as a symbolic tool for connection and global collaboration.
